From traditional handcrafted techniques to latest technological trends such as laser cutting & 3d printing, our experienced model makers create amazing models based on your unique requirements.

Tom Taylor

Tom, Director and model maker, has many years experience within the architectural model making Industry. Having studied at the Arts University College of Bournemouth, armed with a 1st class BA Honours degree in model making he entered the Industry with a passion to create high quality models.

Upon graduating, Tom joined Kandor model makers where he developed his workshop skills working on a wide range of projects. He then joined PDP London architects as the senior in-house model maker, setting up the workshop, running and working on a variety of London based projects. 

"His model making skills raised the presentation levels of the practice significantly and contributed to the design narrative of projects to gain client confidence in complicated design proposals"


With over 8 years experience, Tom decided it was time to launch his own business, TaylorMade model makers, offering a high quality architectural model making service.

Tom says "Physical models are an important and effective way of communicating an idea for many purposes. They are regarded as a critical part of the design process."
