National Theatre, The Visit

This architectural model was commissioned by the National Theatre and is featured in the play 'The Visit' which stars Hugo Weaving & Lesley Manville.
The model is of a Town Hall for the fictional Town of Slurry in New York, 1950. The design of the building was a collective effort between our team of model makers, set designer Vicki Mortimer and the props & lighting department behind the production.
The model was made from maple veneer. LEDs were fitted inside the building, with removable roof elements to allow the lighting department to have access.
