Paperholm - A growing paper city, by Charles Young

In August 2014, Charles Young began creating paperholm, a collection of buildings, which he created, photographed and uploaded to his Website everyday.

Each unique building or object is created with 200gsm watercolour paper and glue. The construction is very quick and allows “exploration of diverse areas of architecture, pushing the possibilities of this single material.” Many of the parts are mechanical in some way, which include a Windmill, a weather vein and a moving car. Moving parts are filmed with simple stop motion animation.
